This is an original cover to the debut album, Please Please Please (610), by James Brown.  This is the ultra rare King 1st pressing version with the lady's legs on stairs.  This album was first released (like this) without James on the cover, very few were sold before it was changed to the much more common version, even fewer have survived.  It's hard to put a specific condition to the cover, but it appears very nice when you look at it.  I will try to describe all issues with it as best I can and will be glad to answer any questions.  By far the biggest and main issue is that the top and bottom seams are completely split, but the spine is totally intact with NO splits and very little wear.  The front cover has a little wear at the middle of the top (between the man and woman, above the name).  There is also some at the middle of the very bottom (under the song titles).  None of this wear affects any of the words or images on the front, only a little of the background color.  The corners do have some wear, but not that bad at all.  The back cover is not as nice as the front.   There is a small 3/4 an inch place at the bottom right corner where the paper has been torn away.  There is a two and a half inch triangle shaped place at the bottom left corner where the paper has come unglued.  This place is intact and in good shape, could most likely be glued back quite easy (I just did not want to do it).  There is also just a tad of slight fraying along part of the right side paper.  Lastly there is very little slight wear at a couple places on the back.  All these issues are with the paper overlay and NOT with the cardboard base.  As you can see in the pictures, the cover looks really nice and would look fantastic in plastic or in a frame on a wall.  This is one crazy hard to find cover....just try!
