James Brown A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS Vinyl LP 1968 KS1040

Notes: The album was purchased from the collection of a local DJ, that recently passed away, that was prominent in the 1960s and 1970s. This is a great play copy and I did play grade the album. There is general vinyl surface noise that can be heard between tracks but is not obvious to any great audible level during the songs. I'd grade the vinyl to be a strong VG and I do grade conservatively.
The inner sleeve is generic white, but I cleaned the vinyl and stored the LP in an anti-static sleeve. There is some slight creasing in the lower left hand corner on the back cover. There are no seam splits and the corners do have some wear and are not perfectly sharp. The bottom left hand corner on the front has a slight crease. In addition, there is either a promo or cut-out hole punch in the upper right hand corner. Overall, the colors on the front and back cover are still vibrant and still pop off of the cardboard!
I am nearly positive that I was able to capture the dead wax matrix correctly, but I searched on discogs to find a matching entry and could not find one. Perhaps I missed the matching discogs entry or it's possible that this variant simply hasn't been cataloged.

Many of James Brown's albums from this era are usually well played and the covers are worn, but this is a very nice copy that was well stored and cared for over the past six decades.
