*Comments: This is a UNIQUE one of a kind offering for the serious "Running on Empty" fan.

First, the original 1977 Asylum US 6E-113-1 "SP" release, which was a Specialty Records Corporation special mastering and release, denoted by SP on the label matrix and SRC in the runout. Second, also included is the EXTREMELY RARE CLEAR SP Asylum vinyl lp, with identical sound mastering and labels. YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS ANYWHERE ELSE. I purchased this clear vinyl at a record show in Detroit, Michigan sometime around 2002. In more than twenty years of active record collecting, I have only seen one other copy of this clear lp. Dealer consensus is that the clear vinyl pressing was a special limited run, done in conjunction with the Specialty Records' special mastering and pressing, and that the clear vinyl's were intended only for private distribution (i.e., band members, family, friends and execs) -- because it is clearly (no pun intended) a quality pressing and labeling from Asylum, but . . . there is no public record of it's release. That also accounts for it not having a cover -  since promos, special and gift pressings were generally only distributed in sleeves. That also accounts for the identical "SP" labeling, as on the SP black vinyl pressing.

The shrink wrap on the cover has one small hole on the front (as shown in pictures). Otherwise perfect.

Source Collection
This record, and all other vinyl records that I have listed for sale were personally collected and purchased, by me, for a premium, Mint/NearMint/E collection of rock, pop and mainstream lps. This collection took over four years to accomplish and most lps were purchased at record shows. All lps are true collector quality and were carefully selected based on the artist/title, rarity or the release and/or pressing, cover condition, insert condition, vinyl condition and play quality. Grading
For grading purposes, I follow the Goldmine standard grading system:

Mint (M)
Near Mint (NM or M-)
Excellent (E +/-)
Very Good (VG +/-)
Good (G)
Fair (F)
Poor (P)

I grade honestly and fairly. As Goldmine states, please note that it is agreed by industry and professional graders that true Mint (M) condition is a rumored but rarely seen reality. Hence, a Mint grading should almost never be used for either a cover or vinyl, and you should be very suspect of anyone who routinely lists "Mint" lps, even if they are new.

Cover Protection
All lps come with a clear, premium 3 mil thick outer sleeve for protection and presentation.

Shipping
Lps will be carefully packaged in quality lp shipping boxes. I will combine shipping, so if you intend to purchase two or more lps, please contact me first via ebay messaging, and I will provide you with the combined shipping cost. I ship to the U.S. only (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). No international shipping.

Returns
If you do not agree with the grading of the lp and want to return the record, I will gladly return your purchase price (minus shipping cost). Just please notify me of your intention upon receiving the lp, and once I receive the returned lp, I will gladly refund your purchase price. I do not provide partial refunds, and do require return of the lp. Please note that I take great pride in the records and other items that I sell and that I have never had an unhappy customer, nor have I ever had an item returned to me. Not ever.
