Description
Up for auction is a rare original deep groove mono pressing of the Jackie McLean 'Capuchin Swing' LP on Blue Note Records BLP-4038. Other musicians include Blue Mitchell, Walter Bishop Jr., Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor.
Record info:
Solid VG+ with some visible residue from being stored in a wax paper sleeve for years. Although the record plays great overall, there is a minor amount of distracting surface noise on side one track two, so I have downgraded it. Trust me it still sounds great!
Cover info:
Near mint with solid seams. There is just a hint of some minor corner wear and some age staining on back. It looks like it just came off the press!
Label / Pressing info:
Original 47 W. 63rd St label, deep groove mono press with RVG stamp and Ear logo on both sides in the dead wax area.
Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
Shipping for US customers is $4 for media mail or $10 for Priority mail. For high value items I would recommend adding insurance.
International shipping will be $18. I reserve the right to request registered or courier mail for high value items and to some countries (Italy, Brazil, Russia) due to the unreliability of their postal services.
