Up for sale here is Vault Package 12 from the awesome Third Man Records. This vault has is out of print, sold out and is unavailable from any store or website, even from Third Man Records themselves! But you can only get it here as I have it IN HAND! All items in the Vault are gem mint, untouched, still sealed. They are in the original mailer from Third Man
VAULT 12 CONTENTS
• The coolest part of the Vault 12 package is a White Stripes DVD titled Under New Zealand Lights. Made up of 2 different performances on separate trips to New Zealand, performing at the King’s Arms in Auckland in November 2000. This is some of the earliest known footage of the White Stripes outside North America! Also included is footage from October 2003 of The Stripes performing for the students of Freeman’s Bay Primary School. Jack and Meg provided a nice primer on American blues history and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves in this sweet, innocent performance that has been kept mostly under-wraps in the nine years since it took place. Wow.
• The 7” for the Vault 12 package features previously unreleased recordings by The Raconteurs (Jack White on guitar) from their Consolers of the Lonely sessions. “Open Your Eyes” b/w “You Make a Fool Out of Me” are two songs that would later be re-recorded for Brendan Benson solo albums. The versions on the 7” are not outtakes, demos, b-sides or anything of a cast-off nature. Rather, they are songs that just did not find a spot on the LP.
• Finally, you get a full-length 12" LP of Karen Elson’s live performance from Third Man on May 24th, 2010. The LP comes in a beautiful interactive record sleeve AND is pressed on split-color peach and black vinyl (or Eclipse Vinyl). An awesome piece!
