Description
This is part of a smaller auction of all higher end records of mixed genres with starting bids of just $5. There's some really cool stuff here just doesn't often come up for auction including free jazz, small press indie, 90's alternative and more.
Artist: Jack Kerouac & Steve Allen
Album: Poetry for the Beat Generation
Description: Deep groove first pressing on Hanover. It has a different cover than the withdrawn version replaced the version on Dot that is replace. It's Kerouac's first record and features him reading/reciting poetry over Allen's piano background. It couldn't be more beatnik.
Vinyl Condition: NM, just gorgeous condition. I very rarely call a vintage record NM, but there's no wear at all on this one and no sign that it has ever been played. The little vinyl flecks are still hanging onto the spindle hole. Label is nice and clean. Note: it looks a little dusty in the picture. I have given it a once over now and it's much cleaner.
Sleeve Condition: Strong VG, presents well overall. It does have some light ring wear on the front and a little bit of splitting at the top. Back has some light browning, but isn't too bad. Comes with the original wax paper inner sleeve which has a small split on the top, but pretty nice. As you can see the corner was folded over and discolored, making me think it hasn't been out of the sleeve in many years.
