BLUE BEAT BB 387
This is one of the most famous releases on the Blue Beat label and one of those ‘must have’ records. The A Side is sung by His Royal Highness, Prince Buster and side B, by Fitzroy Campbell. 1967 was about the time when Ska was turning into Rock Steady and Busters All Stars handle the change superbly.
The record, perhaps unsurprisingly, has been played and handled a fair bit and shows quite a lot of marks on both sides. That said, there is certainly no significant scratches and no skips or jumps. The sound is still really strong and incredibly bright. Labels also tell a similar tale - some spindle marks and a bit grubby from handling but it is 52 years old!
This is still a great copy which sounds fantastic.
