Pioneering California punk label Revelation Records celebrate their 200th release with a remastered repress of the elusive proto-debut album from hardcore legends Judge. Titled Chung King Can Suck It in rebuke to the New York recording studio where the band would first track sessions for their 1989 LP, only to be given the lowest tech room in the facility and left with an absentee cokehead for an engineer (all the more hilarious when factoring in the band member's staunch straight edge nature), upon hearing the final mixes, they unanimously agreed to start from scratch elsewhere. With the original masters already sent to the pressing plant before cancellation, only 110 copies were produced before the band could finally re-record and release the now classic Bringin' It Down, with the Chung King recordings becoming a much sought-after fan collectible, so much so that in 2015 a copy sold on Discogs for a whopping $6,048, making it the most expensive item sold on the site up to that period. Previously only widely available via the What It Meant compilation CD, this reissue marks the first time these OG recordings have ever been made affordable to own on wax, while the newly written/recorded closing track 'Where It Went' which was penned after the Chung King fiasco is absent and in its place the only known recordings of the original final two cuts 'Holding On' and 'No Apologies' are lovingly restored.
