Bach's Awesome, Magisterial, and Incomparable Mass in B-Minor. This is the Late Baroque Summa of all settings of the Latin Requiem Mass. Disks constantly display in Brilliant Telefunken RoyalSound Stereo Harnoncourt's total mastery of this art form in delivering the very first performance of this colossal score on original instruments of the era and with ravishing, small-scale vocal and choral forces as stipulated in Bach's own manuscript of the work. Visual inspection under bright light shows all 3 disks appear near flawless retaining a high-gloss vinyl sheen on all sides. Play Grading All 5 Sides shows impeccably quiet surfaces with radiant sound reproduction and extraordinary sonic nuances and instructive, complex contrapuntal score details plainly audible in captivating quality.
