GABRIEL LOPEZ JR. & THE PRELUDES (aka JR. & THE PRELUDES) -- Do You Remember / Somebody Help Me -- ex. rare, original late 1960's (?) U.S. 45 RPM single.  Mindblowing and completely unknown Northern Soul - Latin Soul - Funk monster here from this much-loved Anaheim (Los Angeles area) band who later put out several excellent LP's; this is their first single credited to "Gabriel Lopez Jr. & The Preludes," before the group shortened its name to just Jr. & The Preludes.  A-side "Do You Remember" is gorgeous, heartbreaking uptempo Northern Soul ballad, utterly irresistible.  B-side "Somebody Help Me" may be even better, earthshaking Funk-Soul-R&B monster with wicked James Brown vibe, truly killer.  No date on this but I'm guessing late 1960's at the latest.  I've never seen another copy of this -- get it while you can.  In generic sleeve.  Record:  Good+ to VG-, light to moderate scuffs and surface marks, fairly well worn but plays well, on DeMarco private label, U.S. press.  For overseas buyers:  please contact me regarding international shipping since record has to be sent with signature delivery confirmation, many thanks.
