PLEASE NOTE:
A few days after listing this item and a first press Closer, I was sent a few messages asking for pics of my Closer held up to the light (red glow) and matrix etchings on this release.
It is only whilst checking this I have discovered Ian Curtis' signature on the inner sleeve of this album.
It appears to be written in either biro or a sharp felt pen. Although I did not obtain this signature myself, I do know for a 100% fact that the person I bought this from was a MASSIVE Joy Division fan and saw them live on a number of occasions. I have no doubt that this signature is real.
EDIT:
I've spoken to my friend whom I bought this from and he says he got it signed before the show at The Warehouse in Preston in 1980.
Additional information: I have had a couple of people asking me if this is translucent like my copy of Closer.
No, it is not, as this is a TRUE first press. The translucent Unknown Pleasures is believed to originate from late 1980 around the time of the Atmosphere 12". The true 1st pressing of this album is solid black.
