Description
Available here is a 12” vinyl LP by Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures. It was issued by Factory in 1979 with the catalogue number FACT 10. This is a rather rare incarnation - visually black vinyl but translucent deep red if held against a strong light source. I've attempted to get a decent image of the colour, although this was no easy task.

Vinyl Condition - Good - The record is bright and clean - no worrying scratches or surface marks. It does have what look like small indents on the last 2 tracks on the b side.
These do not effect the sound. Having listened all the way through, I can confirm that for the most part the quality of sound is pretty good - background crackle/noise is present at times and although never overly intrusive, may be heard during track breaks and quieter moments and on the into to the first track on each side for about 20 seconds . All tracks play throughout
With no skips or jumps. I’ve given the record a good clean , The record does seem the run eccentric and slightly warped which causes the needle to wobble. it may be a minor pressing error . Annoying as this is, this is still quite a rare and collectible record which often realises a three figure price.
Cover/Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Original textured Garrod & Lofthouse outer cover with li signs of ring wear, including corner/edge rubbing, stress creasing and a small abrasion to the front panel but no splits or tears. Printed inner is damage free but looks grubby. .
