JOY DIVISION - "UNKNOWN PLEASURES" - VINYL LP
FACTORY - FACT 10 - 1979 - UK 1ST PRESS A/B MATRIX
Original 1979 UK issue of this timeless album - a rare 1st pressing with 'A PORKY PRIME CUT', 'THIS IS THE WAY', 'STEP', 'OUTSIDE I B, 'INSIDE I A' etchings. These initial pressings have the black 'Outside' label as the B matrix, and the white 'Inside' side as the A matrix due to a mix up at the pressing plant.
Includes the very 1st issue of the iconic Peter Saville-designed sleeve which has a heavier texture than later releases. Comes complete with the 1st issue inner sleeve which has rounded corners.

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
VG+ (very nice copy with light use only judging by the labels which are bright and clean and show only a few small spindlemarks round the centre hole; the record surfaces are shiny and show just the odd minor surface mark under strong angled light and one light scratch on side 1 that doesn't affect play; the disc sits flat on the turntable; I tested the album in full and at high volume and can confirm it plays great throughout - the audio is generally clean and clear with just a little minor surface noise here and there, its mainly a bit of mild crackle that never spoils the listening experience)
/ VG (heavily textured sleeve; bright solid condition with light handling/scuffs/ringwear only and no serious defects - light sticker ghost mark in top right corner - no splits or significant creases - see photos for more detail)
Round-cornered inner sleeve VG+ (very nice condition with just mild disc impression and some light handling/discolouration to the white colour; there are no splits, tears, writing or significant creases)
