Description
Available here is an original 7" Factory Records Sampler EP, which pairs a couple of Joy Division songs, with two others by label mates, The Durutti Column. It has the catalogue number FAC-2 but I must stress that the record was originally part of a larger set (see details below).
Vinyl Condition - Excellent. The vinyl is bright and clean, certainly free from any worrying scratches, although you might spot one or two extremely light surface marks if you look closely enough. Having listened to all of the songs, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, with minimal background static/crackle, most noticeable during the quieter intros and outros.
Sleeve Condition - Excellent. The record comes in a simple (not original?) white sleeve, upon which a previous owner/seller has written a short description. It is bright and clean with a little wear.

History - This item was originally released as part of a double 7", 33RPM, sampler by Factory Records in 1978. The complete set features two tracks each by Joy Division, The Durutti Column, John Dowie and Cabaret Voltaire. The records were issued with an outer illustrated gatefold sleeve, included 5 stickers and artwork by Peter Saville. I understand that only 5000 copies were pressed and that the complete set is rather rare and collectible.
The record offered here might suit someone with an incomplete set/damaged record, or simply the curious Joy Dision/Durutti Column collector.
