From 1978 through 1988, Journey was undisputedly one of the most popular and successful bands in the U.S. Their original studio albums were massive sellers, with more than 30 singles reaching Billboard's Top 100 charts. Journey's success grew with each release, selling out stadiums across the U.S., and for all intents and purposes inventing the AOR radio format (Album Oriented Rock). During the band's hiatus in 1988, the Greatest Hits album was issued surveying 15 tracks from the band's 7 albums. Over the years, Journey's music has been used in films and recently in several high-profile TV shows (particularly the song "Don't' Stop Believin'"). Now 16X platinum in the U.S., Journey's Greatest Hits has taken on a life of its own, garnering new fans who have discovered the band through shows like Glee, Family Guy, The Sopranos, and American Idol. But as successful as Greatest Hits is, it's only a part of the Journey story. Originally released on DVD and 2-CD, this vinyl package contains material originally recorded and filmed for MTV at the Summit in Houston, TX in November of 1981. The 2-LP edition contains such hits as "Lights", "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'", "Wheel In The Sky" and "Anyway You Want It". In addition, there are tracks from Journey's then-current album Escape, including the title cut along with "Open Arms", Who's Crying Now" and "Don't Stop Believin'".

Journey's classic performance from the Escape tour is now available on 180g double vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket. With nineteen tracks total, this concert captures Journey as a band in their prime.

Journey's First New Studio Album in Over a Decade on Double LP!

Freedom is Journey's first album of original songs since 2011's Eclipse. The first single from the album is "You Got the Best of Me." Neal Schon describes the lead single as "kind of a punky rendition of 'Any Way You Want It.'" Schon goes on to say, "I usually don't go in saying I'm going to look for something like that, but then it just came to me, like 'Wheel in the Sky' did years ago. It just kind of flew out of my mouth."

Regarding the genesis of the album, Schon recalls, "During the pandemic, there wasn't much to do. I spent a lot of time in my little studio at home, learning how to play keyboards and looping. Some of those ideas ended up being songs. So it kind of came out of nowhere."
