Description
This is a rare copy of "dead Man" by the group Josefus, which is up for auction. This rock band from Houston recorded "Dead Man" in March of 1970. Josefus was one of the pioneers who combined the late 60's hard rock sound with early 70's heavy metal. "Dead Man" was greatly influenced by the early sound of Led Zeppelin. It is my understanding that they distributed a pressing of 3000 "Dead Man" LP's on the HooKah label. (making it rare and hard to find)
On this album I would grade the vinyl at VG and the Cover at VG+. The vinyl has a lot of light lines on both sides. (nothing deep). I gave it a play grade of the vinyl as a VG without any skipping. Overall it sounds good with consistent but not overbearing sound on the background noise.
The front cover shows some white patches bleeding through the gray cover in some areas. Corners are semi-rounded with the seams remaining strong with no structural issues.
The label has no issues and is in good overall condition.
This is a rare LP which comes up for auction very seldom. It is a crown jewel for any rock/ heavy metal collector who loves this vintage ass-kicking sound!
