JOSEF K - The Only Fun In Town ORIG Postcard Records LP Postcard 81-7 (UK, 1981)
Happy to present a great example of this Scottish post punk milestone, recorded in Brussels, April 1981.
The sleeve is still wonderfully strong and sharp for its 27 years. The opening edges are very sharp without feathering, showing this hasn’t been handled much. The spine is nearly perfect with all gold text strong and legible. There are NO splits, tears, writing, stickers, dirt or residue and it still lies perfectly flat without warping or rippling. The only things to show its age are a little light wear to the top edge and a little rubbing with a light ( and I mean light) ring impression to the front top. Other than that this is a TOP example of this fragile, easily rubbed and damaged sleeve. It’s graded a VERY STRICT AND TRUE EX.
The picture inner sleeve is about as good as you could hope for with no grubbiness, no corner wear, no splits, no tears, no softening of the opening edge and no writing.
In fact it looks like the record has hardly been taken out of this paper inner. Superb.
The labels are fresh with very little handling, light spindle trails only visible under strong light.
The vinyl is in absolutely GREAT shape. I’d guess from a few visible spindle trails that this record has only been played 2 or 3 times! There are no scratches, no hairlines and no discernible bag rash. It looks next to new and confidently grades M- (Mint minus)!!
A great opportunity to snaffle an immense copy of this post Punk classic - their only original LP ! Low start and no reserve!
