LP : Cuarteto de Jorge Anders - Como Tiene Que Ser ( En Vivo)

Original pressing made in Argentina by REDONDEL, SL-10517. Gatefold-cover with photos of the 4 muisicians and extensive liner-notes (in Spanish) inside. This is a live date of the „Jorge Anders Quartet“ from 29th Nov. 1976, Buenos Aires, Teatro Del Globo (Concierto De Club Jazz). The recording has an amazingly high sound-quality. 2 of the 6 tracks are classic ballads of the American Songbook: “I Surrender Dear” is a soulful duo with just Fender Rhodes plus tenorsax, “You Don't Know What Love Is” also starts as a Rhodes / Sax – duo but the other members join in after some time.

On the remaining 4 selfpenned tracks the quartet performs awesome modal and deep jazz, with an edge of spiritual and latin influences. Heavy Rhodes by J.Navarro on all 6 tracks, he released his funky and in demand LP “Jorge Navarro ?– Navarro Con Polenta“ in the same year 1976, bass player Jorge Gonzalez was featured on the rare LP „Jazz Band De Free ?– Ego“ from 1972. Pretty rare record wich you will not find on discogs or on youtube.

Condition: the record looks mint-, but under a very bright light it shows a few tiny pressing-imperfection-spots (unfortunately a feature of most southamerican pressings), these cause some very few occasional singular and very low tics on 2 tracks, the record plays otherwise absolutely fine in mint-.

The cover shows a bit of shelfwear, both right bottom-corners are rubbed, one of them has a split of ca. 0,8 inch, the rest of the seams/spine are intact with rub just in a few spots, front & back are fine, the paper of the inner (with photos and liner-notes) has been glued not 100 % properly and therefore it shows some wrinkles (more on the right side than on the left) ; overall still vg(+).

Zustand: die LP sieht bei Tageslicht & unter einer normalen Lampe mint- aus, unter einer sehr hellen Halogenlampe kann man aber ein paar winzig kleine Pressungsunebenheiten sehen (wie sie leider fast immer bei südamerikanischen Pressungen vorkommen), diese verursachen einige wenige leise vereinzelte Tics auf 2 Stücken, der Rest der LP spielt ansonsten durchgehend in mint- .

Das Cover hat einige Lagerspuren, beide unteren rechten Ecken haben Abrieb, die hintere hat auch einen Split von ca. 2 cm Länge, die Rest der Kanten ist intakt mit Abrieb nur an einigen wenigen Stellen, Vorder- & Rückseite sind sehr schön erhalten, im Inneren des Klappcovers wurde das Papier mit den Fotos und den Liner-Notes nicht 100 % korrekt eingeklebt, deshalb einige Runzeln, mehr auf der rechten als auf der linken Seite; insgesamt aber immer noch in vg(+).

Alle Platten wurden professionell gereinigt, entweder von mir (Hannl Mikro) oder von den Vorbesitzern (Okki Nokki, Loricraft o.Ä.). Anschließend wurden sie nur wenige Male abgespielt bzw. nur einmal von mir zum Bewerten angehört (komplett oder in Ausschnitten). Optische Bewertung erfolgt in Tageslicht, in normalen Kunstlicht & unter einer sehr hellen Halogenlampe. Platten kommen mit neuer hochwertiger Innenhülle & in einer Schutzhülle. Bitte beachten: auch prof. gereinigte Platten können einige Staubpartikel haben; “eingefangen” während optischer & akkustischer Bewertung, Fotografieren oder den wenigen Abspielungen der Vorbesitzer.

Grading & Cleaning:

• all records have been cleaned on a professional record cleaning machine, either by me (Hannl Mikro) or by the pre-owners (Okki Nokki, Loricraft or the like). After cleaning the records have been played just a few times (or only once by me for playgrading)

• I playgrade each record (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, high-end Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN/ EMT TU-3 SFL (please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment)

• I also visually grade cleaned records in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

• only an unplayed record is mint, my highest grading for a used record is mint- . My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

• cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve

• pl. note: even pro cleaned records may have received some dust particles during visual-/play-grading, photographing or few pre-owner playbacks
