OVER THE YEARS, JONI MITCHELL DEFIED CATEGORIES, DATED EVERYONE OF ANY RENOWN IN SHOW BUSINESS, AND CREATED SOME TRULY LUMINOUS, GORGEOUS MUSIC, THE IMPORTANCE AND SHEER HONESTY OF WHICH TRANSCEND THE AGES. THIS ALBUM WHICH CAME IN 1974 IS BY FAR JONI'S MOST POPULAR AND COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL TITLE, AND INCLUDES "HELP ME", PROBABLY THE SINGLE BIGGEST HIT OF HER CAREER TO DATE. !Quadraphonic recordings of the early 70's may have died an ignoble death because of their hopeless incompatibility with the existing stereo and mono equipment (they can be played on stereo equipment, but not to the full effect) yet, they live on in the hearts of the collectors, and for good reason: some of the finest audiophile recordings ever made - whether rock, soul or classical, were released on some of these, little known and poorly advertised, albums. And, what a gorgeous presentation these recordings are: Sheets of sounds, cascades of orchestration ranging from pianissimo to crescendo, textures which do not exist in any audio- or virtual space and channel separation that is truly a jaw-dropping experience. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the classic rock recordings of the late 1960's and early 1970's, such as this, Joni's multi million seller, which remains hers greatest and most popular work to date. The sound of this recording is descending upon listener as if coming directly from the Heavens. As the sound start swirling from your 4 channel surround sound, you will have a feeling that you are hovering above clouds, watching the universe from some other perspective. This is one of the rare opportunities to acquire this great album in its true, original, primordial audio format., no longer in print, and no longer easily obtainable.). A stunning, jaw -dropping, mouth-watering audiophile experience, not to be missed.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Quad pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more  preferable to its stereo counterpart. The mix is more natural, humane, "organic" and in some instances (we cannot guarantee) the mixes may be somewhat different than on the stereo version. We estimate that stereo copies of this album outnumber quad by a ratio of at least 30:1.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NEAR MINT !

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a small cutout saw-mark (an indent about 3-5 mm long ) on one of its seams.

-         Cover has one corner slightly worn / dinged (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

-        No split seams

-        No ring wear

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No yellowing from aging

-        No peel-off marks

-        No stains

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
