Description

Up for auction is a very nice original copy of the Joni Mitchell album Clouds, originally released in the U.S. on Reprise Records (RS 6341) in 1969.
-Guaranteed original pressing -First issue two-tone Steamboat labels -Early 1C first pressing etched in deadwax -Rare First State error on back of gatefold cover -Lyrics on interior of gatefold -Original Reprise/WB inner sleeve
-No UPC/bar code on cover
Note: These rare First State cover have a noticeable thick line on the back cover in the original painting (see photo).  This error was airbrushed out on subsequent pressings.  Very hard to find these "error" or "non-airbrushed" covers.
Condition: Cover is very nice, with only light signs of wear.  Very colorful and clean both front and back.  Front has a little rub top middle.  Creasing in lower left corner.  Lower right corner is bumped.  Interior is clean.  Spine is tight, probably has never been opened all the way.  Still, a very nice original. Grade: Excellent Minus (EX-), better than typical VG+ copies
Vinyl looks very nice, still has its original shine.  No apparent scratches or scuffs, just some faint, superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  Looks like the record has maybe been played once or twice at most, but handled with care.  Very nice original. Grade: Near Mint (NM)
