JONESY ~ KEEPING UP... LP
Original 1973 U.K. first issue stereo pressing released on the Dawn label DNLS 3048.
Description :
Very rare and hard to find prog rock classic that has become increasingly collectable over the last few years.
Jonesy were an early 70's band in the style of King Crimson but with the unusual element of electric trumpet from Alan Bown. Other band members were John Evan-Jones on guitar & backing vocals, Jamie Kaleth on lead vocals & keyboards (including some excellent Mellotron), Gypsy Jones on lead vocals, bass guitar & recorders and Plug Thomas on percussion and backing vocals.
They recorded three albums on the Dawn Label "No Alternative", "Keeping Up" and "Growing". All are strong and can be approached with a degree of assurity but "Keeping Up" is probably the strongest of the three.
Condition ~ Vinyl :
The vinyl is in super clean EXCELLENT condition with just a couple of very faint harlines.
Audio Quality :
The sound quality is absolutely superb with virtually no background noise at all, hardly even a click or a pop. It's a sheer delight to listen to. Stunningly crisp and clear!!!
Condition ~ Sleeve :
The classic gatefold sleeve is in great shape with only light wear. The spine is fully readable. No splits, tears or writing. EXCELLENT condition.
Condition ~ Labels :
Both labels are in great shape with virtually no sign of having been played.
