Amazing M- condition RARE original US promo/demo release of this in-demand 45. As far as tunes by The Joneses goes (aka Glenn "G.D." Dorsey & The Big J), people always rave about "Movin' On", "Who Loves You" and "Summer Groove". But few seem to be aware of the 45 up for grabs here. "Love Contest" is a POUNDING uptempo modern soul / northern soul dancer in the same style as O'Jays "I Love Music". Strings-a-plenty, gritty vocals and hooks all over the place. LISTEN TO THIS IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT! Huge potential in this tune.
