JO-JO & THE FUGITIVES Chips Chicken Banana Split COBRA 45 Canada Funk Soul RARE
Auction is for an ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL CANADIAN PRESSING of JO-JO & THE FUGITIVES' "CHIPS CHICKEN BANANA SPLIT / THE FUGITIVE SONG" 45RPM SINGLE from 197? on Cobra Records. Canadian Funk/Soul Holy Grail featuring blazing funk on one side (basically a Wayne McGhie track; see credit on label) and a killer soul ballad on the flip. Comped some years back on the "From Jamaica to Toronto" release from Light in The Attic, this absolutely never comes up for sale (no listings on the usual record auction sites). Not in the best condition but plays thru without skips and will suffice as a play/filler copy… when are you going to find another anyways?! Both sides are in the same condition but it doesn't seem to be as noticeable on the loud, uptempo funk track (plays closer to VG-) so it would probably be better suited to a collector looking to scoop it up for that track. Really though, both sides are top-shelf and it may be years before another shows up on eBay.
Condition of Cover/Vinyl is N/A / GOOD+.
