JOHNNY SHACKLETT/MEL RHYNE "AT THE HOFFMAN HOUSE" stereo lp on Universal Artists orig. US issue 1969 VG+/VG. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page.)

I would grade this LP VG+. It plays great, but has some minimal noise that was not there when the record was new. It may also have noticeable visual marks, consistent with a well-cared for, but appreciated, record that’s had a moderate amount of play. This LP still plays great, and has lots of shine and is beautiful overall. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY. This is a true collectible. The only recording by a almost cult Jazz guitarist (a Wes Montgomery disciple) working with the legendary organist Mel Rhyne in a Madison Wi. hotel lounge. Shacklett was a great if under aspirated guitarist. this is just great music that happened in my home town and I wasn't musically aware enough at the time to appreciate it and never once went to listen even though it was free music every week. One of many regrets of my youth. The Jacket: (I don’t rate any jackets with my initials NM) In black magic marker, my initials back upper left, an x back lower left. Also the initials C.B. in blue ink from a previous owner.A very functional jacket. I would rate the cover VG overall with ring, corner and seam wear. . !
