All records are professionally cleaned and play tested to ensure no nasty unwanted issues. Records are graded inline with the Record Collector Guidelines.
This record would grade as follows:
Vinyl:Very Good
The labels show some spindle marks but there is not an excessive amount. There are no pen marks, scuffs or other major issues but there is some grubbiness to each side however. This is not really severe however and overall the labels are fully legible and in decent condition.
The vinyl itself is free of anything major or nasty and still has a good lustre. It does have signs of use and age however with a few minor line/light scratches, light handling marks/scuffs/wispy lines and light general signs of age/use. Overall a used and very rare 55yr old vintage 7" single that is in good playable condition but not 100% visually pristine.
I play tested the record and the audio produced on both sides is very enjoyable and would easily grade at VG(more like an audio grade of EX- in my opinion).
It does have a small 'bob' in the record arm upon playing however. This is not huge or severe but there is a small 'bob' noticeable in the arm on both sides. This has no affect on play or the audio however and is merely a slight visual issue.
The audio has a trace of surface noise in the run ins on both sides but no skips, sticks, tics or major issues. There is also very little surface noise during actual play with the audio of good clarity. There is no distortion caused by excessive use and overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable listen and would easily match the VG visual grading.
Sleeve:The original Pye sleeve is included and is in good condition. It has creasing, ring marks, discolouring, tears, staining and general signs of age. As the original is showing its age the record will of course be sent in a brand new plain white replacement sleeve to ensure it remains clean and ready to play.
All records are sent swiftly after receiving payment and will be packaged securely between solid card stiffeners.
