From 1957, comes Johnny Griffin with his LP A Blowing Session on Blue Note 1559,47 West 63rd,New York 23, DEEP GROOVE (BOTH SIDES) MONO! SCARCE FIRST LABEL with the ORIGINAL 47 W.63rd,New York,23 address! Only the first pressings of this LP had the New York 23 on the label such as this one has! The record has a deep groove on both sides, the "ear" and also the RVG in the deadwax. Scarce four song original. This LP is one of the great and rare classics on Blue Note! Johnny Griffin,who plays tenor sax, is accompanied by Lee Morgan on trumpet, Hank Mobley and John Coltrane on tenor saxes, Wynton Kelly on piano,Paul Chambers on bass and Art Blakey on drums. A superb backing band if there ever was one!
Cover has corner knocks, slight paper loss upper left corner where knocked. Lamination tear middle of ride side front cover (visible in pic), minor white.
Cover is VG++ and record is MINT MINUS!!!
