JOHNNY GRIFFIN ARGO DG LP 624 RARE KANGAROO SPLIT COVER
From 1956 comes this ultra-rare "kangaroo split cover" original mono deep groove 12" pressing of Johnny Griffin's self-titled debut LP (Argo LP 624)!
The split cover is very good plus due to some basic ring and edge wear (including some occasional chipping) in addition to a 3" seam split along half of the bottom of the right half of the sleeve and a 2" split at the top of the left. There is also some minor peeling back along the center edge of the left half of the back cover. Unfortunately, the 7" Argo sampler promised on the back is missing, but the LP, happily, is still in excellent condition - still retaining a wonderful gloss after over half a century!
To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
