Description
Offered here, from 1960-1, is a SUN EP by JOHNNY CASH titled COUNTRY BOY. All four of the songs on this EP previously appeared on the Johnny Cash LP, JOHNNY CASH WITH HIS HOT AND BLUE GUITAR, which was released by Sam Phillips' SUN label in 1957. This was Cash's first LP as well as the first LP released by Sun. The record offered here is Cash's first EP and Sun's 5th EP (the first four issued EP's by SUN were all by Jerry Lee Lewis).

The record is in Very Good Plus condition. It has a few light scratches and scuffs on both sides that do not show up on my pictures, including two needle scraches that extend through all or most of the first track on the "B" side, but the record has no serious flaws and plays well. The record has no warps and lays flat nicely. The labels on both sides of the record are in very nice shape with no marks, writing or stains.
The sleeve is in Excellent condition. The front cover of the sleeve is still very glossy and has minimal to light general wear and soiling. There are a few small flecks on the front of the sleeve on the right side of the bottom edge and also along the right edge near the center. There is also some roughness along the right edge (open end) of the sleeve. The back cover is fairly clean; it also has some wear on the open (left) end plus a light curved crease of a little more than 1" by the top part of the left edge. The corners are still sharp, and the only flaw on the edges of the sleeve is a tiny fleck right of center on the bottom edge.
Please check my pictures to get a better idea of the condition of this item. The lines on the first picture of the sleeve cover do not really appear on the cover but are a result of the scanning. The second picture of the sleeve cover is a photograph which gives a better idea of the appearance of the cover, though it also displays a glare from the camera flash.
