Up for auction is an autographed/signed copy of of the Johnny Cash album "Water From The Wells Of Home" released on Mercury Records in 1988. This is a promo copy, with the back cover stamped, and the labels stating as such. Inscription on front cover reads "To Sen Mike Evans Best Wishes Johnny Cash". The senator referred to here is State Senator Michael Evans from Colorado. I do not have a Certificate Of Authenticity (C.O.A.) for the signature, I have looked up what Johnny Cash's autograph looks like, and this is obviously real. And who would fake his signature by signing a company promotional album to a state senator? No likely. In fact, if you buy this record and want to get a C.O.A. (authenticated), I will give you a refund if this is not Cash's real signature. How can you lose? Aside from the signature, this album is in really nice shape with very few signs of previous use. The cover is pretty much near mint, with no detractions worth mentioning. The vinyl is really nice. No marks around spindle holes. High gloss sheen. A couple superficial scuff marks from taking disc out of inner sleeve (hard to see at certain angles), along with one superficial hairline on Side One--it doesn't affect playback. A very well-preserved copy of this rare signed album by one of the great American music legends.
