Here on offer is a genuine rock and roll relic. Johnny Burnette and the Rock ‘n Roll Trio’s self titled album would have to be one of the world’s most collectable records of the rock and roll era. I understand this album was issued in 1956 as a 10” album in the UK and as a 12” LP in both the USA and Australia (please correct me if you know otherwise).
This album is an Australian issue on the highly collectable Coral label C12-1463. Normally I would not list an album in this condition however I understand and appreciate the collectability and historical importance of such an album.

CONDITION
Cover – The cover is well worn for its 55 years. You name it its got it – ring wear, seam splits, spine damage, tape on the back, stains, insect munching, an old price written in pencil. What more could you want to highlight the age of this album. Fortunately the writing at the back is legible and the cover still looks really cool. Poor plus.
Vinyl – The album has obviously been played quite regularly during its life. Has many light to moderate marks resulting in a few skips and some expected background noise. When I played it I still found the music raucous and exciting – exactly how you want your rock and roll. I would rate the vinyl better than the cover. Fair.
In all a genuine rarity. You would never find this one these days in Australia. A must for any serious collector of Johnny Burnette – early rock and roll and the prestigious Coral label.
