ALBUM INFO:
Solid Air is the sixth album by John Martyn and was released in 1973 on Island Records. The title track was dedicated to a friend of Martyn's, Nick Drake, who died of an antidepressant overdose 18 months after the album was released. Martyn said of the track "It was done for a friend of mine, and it was done right with very clear motives, and I'm very pleased with it, for varying reasons. It has got a very simple message, but you'll have to work that one out for yourself." In 2006, Martyn performed the album live in its entirety as part of the All Tomorrows Parties. The album cover is an example of schlieren photography demonstrating the 'solid' nature of air.
PRODUCTION:
John Martyn & John Wood (producer)
VINYL:
(VG) There are several light surface marks. The record is slightly dished, which does not affect play.
COVER: FRONT/BACK/GATEFOLD:
(EX) Both the front and back have a few creases towards the spine, however there is slightly more to the front. Both sides also have a little wear. The gatefold itself is in excellent condition with just a little wear, mainly to the edges. There are no tears to LP sleeve, writing or sticker marks.
EDGES/SPINE:
There is a little wear however no damage.
INNER SLEEVE:
The inner sleeve has a small tear to one of the sides, however this is nothing major; overall in excellent condition.
LABELS:
Clean, no damage or writing.
AUDIO GRADING:
I play all LP's on my Pioneer PL 550-X. This album plays excellent with no clicks, jumps or distortion. The only faults to mention is that both sides have some background noise, which does sub side for moments. Side 2 has a few pops, however these do not spoil such a truly fantastic listen!

Items must be payed for within five days. If non payment within five days, I will then instigate an Ebay ruling. I will set up a dispute and either offer it to the runner up bidder or relist.
RETURNS POLICY:
I aim to provide an excellent service and hope that all buyers are satisfied with their purchase. However, if for any reason this should not be so, please contact me and on receipt of the item, I will give a full refund. I will not issue a refund if detail that is clearly stated on the advertisement has been missed by the buyer, so please read carefully.

I use preformed and standard mailers with stiffeners. I always take the vinyl out in its inner sleeve and place on top of the cover. This is then placed into a soft protective sleeve and packaged with stiffeners for full protection.
