All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if successful.
This record is in very good+ condition. It has a few short light spindle marks visible on the labels but not loads. There are no pen marks, scuffs or fading anyhwere and they are clean and bright. The centres are not loose and overall the iconic pink rim Island labels are in great shape.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or serious but do have some very light surface lines and a couple of light marks visible in normal light. There are more extremely minor wispy lines visible under very bright white light but again nothing serious or sinister. The record has no nasty scuffs or blemishes and has a lovely vivid shine.
I play tested the record and it plays very well. It lays flat, there is next to no movement in the record arm and the sound produced is excellent overall. It is very clear with only an occasional trace of surface noise audible in the run in and between tracks. There is very little audible during the actual audio and so overall it is a great listen and doesnt really suffer from any serious amount of surface noise. I did however note two issues, which although minor were audible. These were a set of pops around halfway through track 1 on side 1. The other issue was a series of 4 clicks right at the end or in the run out of track 1 on side 2. Other than these few short and to be honest fairly minor sounds the audio was great. I also picked up on a trace of surface noise for around the first 15 seconds on side 2 but this was again minor and other than this the audio was very clear indeed. Overall it was a very enjoyable play test and produced audio of great quality.
The gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. It has only light wear to the edges and corners(pics), and the writing along the spine is all clearly legible. Despite this minor edge wear they are all strong with no splits or weak areas where one may develop. There are no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere and very little creasing evident. There is only a very faint ring mark visible on the rear and inside the gatefold is in great shape overall. There is slight fading inside the gatefold however and also parts of the front and rear but this is fairly minor and overall the sleeve is in great shape. It is strong, clean and shows just light age related wear. I have tried to capture the sleeves issues as best I can in the pictures provided so please study these to gain as much information as possible.
It includes its original picture inner which is in excellent- condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but does have some wear to the edges. The worst of the wear is on the right edges where a 2" area is weakening. I will of course send the record in a plain white replacement to ensure no damage occurs to the original which is holding up pretty well.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
