JOHN LENNON:
"ROOTS" "JOHN LENNON sings the GREAT ROCK & ROLL HITS"
rare, limited edition Multi-COLORED Vinyl LP re-pressing of the original ADAM VIII Ltd A8018 black vinyl version.
We took several shots of the vinyl disc with different lighting and angles so you can see the rich, dense multiple marbling and colors.
The jacket is in VG++ condition with an additional
"MULTI COLOURED VINYL" sticker, see photos; The spine and seams are intact, and there's no writing, no damage to any of the surfaces;
This album features John Lennon's interesting and
raw "rough mixes" of what became his "Rock & Roll" album.
The release of this mail order album in January 1975
resulted in Lennon & his label speeding up
the release of "Rock & Roll" a month later.
The ensuing lawsuit was resolved in
Capitol Records' & John Lennon's favor. Production of this LP was halted and about 3000 "legitimate"
black vinyl copies were pressed. THIS particular pressing is an extremely unusual and
rare repro pressed on gorgeous multi-colored clear vinyl. Side 1 is pressed very slightly off-center, by about 2 mm,
but for the most part there's no obvious or audible "wow".
Side 2 is concentric. The Vinyl is VISUALLY Graded, but we did spot-check the sound: There's some minor, unobtrusive surface noise it the very beginning of each side,
but overall, the vinyl is quiet except for very minor
light surface noise between tracks. The highs are crisp and the bass is louder
and heavier than the original legitimate Adam VIII release:
it sounds like this was re-equalized
during the mastering of this cool re-pressing.
