 Walls and Bridges was recorded during John Lennon's infamous "lost weekend," as he exiled himself in California during a separation from Yoko Ono.
Lennon's personal life was scattered at the time, so it isn't surprising that Walls and Bridges is a scattered itself, containing equal amounts of brilliance and standards.
Falling between the two extremes was the bouncy Elton John duet "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night" whose bright surface was replicated throughout the record, particularly on rockers like "What You Got" but also on enjoyable pop songs like "Old Dirt Road."
However, the best moments come when Lennon is more open with his emotions - "Going Down on Love," "Scared", "Steel and Glass," and the beautiful, soaring "No. 9 Dream" are amongst of the finest tracks he recorded

Clean, factory-fresh labels with just one light spindle trace per side. The spindle hole is still quite tight

Apart from two light marks (one on the run-in to Side Two and one on the first track, Side One (both of which have no audio impact) the vinyl surfaces shine like new
VINYL Audio: MINT-
This is a beautifully produced and engineered record with a gorgeous deep, rich and warm sound. Only once played the audio is immaculate throughout - beautifully clean with no audible distractions of any kind
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The delicate cover is clean, sharp and fresh with no damage to the delicate fold-over sections and a clean, clear spine
INNER SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
Clean with no seam splits - just some light 'foxing' spots evident
BOOKLET: NEAR MINT
Clean and fresh with no signs of ever being handled or thumbed-through but again, there are some light 'foxing' spots to the front panel
