Description
This is a SEALED vintage stereo pressing of ROOTS by JOHN LENNON. Contrary to what the manufacturer wanted us to believe back in the 70's, this was not an authentic version of this VERY scarce album. I see some sellers trying to offer this as a legitimate original release, but I remember buying this through the mail years ago and also bought a copy of the real deal BEFORE that (it got somewhat bent in the mail thanks to stupid Adam VIII Ltd.'s lame packing and the flimsy cover stock).
The only other listings I see on eBay right now (like the one that was attacked by a cat) are of the EXACT same album/pressing--and this is factory sealed/NEVER opened. Just because someone SAYS something doesn't make it true. It's easy enough to educate yourself by doing a Google search on how to verify if it is the real McCoy. For starters, the labels are not printed as crisply/sharp as on the very scarce original discs.
This same company made counterfeit/reissue/reproduction pressings of THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM and The International Submarine Band - SAFE AT HOME.
These pressings themselves have become collectible since they were pretty high quality pressings of VERY rare albums. The original 'withdrawn' release does not have a normal cardboard cover--it is thinner and WHITE inside--almost like posterboard--printed directly on that stock, not pasted on cardboard. I am not going to try and misrepresent something I bought myself when it came out (late 70's?).

This is factory sealed. The cover has very minor dings on most of the corners.
