Size/speed - 12", 33 rpm

Vinyl condition - Side 1 tracks 3,4, and 5 have a smear across them that makes them pretty much unplayable. It looks like this was caused by water, which is one of the reasons I think that it's an acetate copy. The rest of the tracks play VG+.

Labels - These are plain white labels, with hand written track names, as well as the initials BBC.

Sleeve condition -  There is no jacket. This was found in a plain white inner sleeve which is toned now. Written across top is "New John Lennon". There are four tape stains where the memo had been taped to the sleeve. The tape stains on the memo line up with those on the sleeve.

Note - This comes with a Capitol Memo, undated. It says, "Here is the John Lennon LP recorded in England. All songs written by John Lennon, copy(w)right by Mclen and produced by John and Yoko and Phil Spector. Side one cut three contains Jesus and Hell. Side one cut four contains "Fuc___" twice and refers to the "Folks on the Hill". Remember "Glass Onion" and Paul's "death"? Side two cut five is controversial--listen." The playlist follows, with times handwritten in and Working Class Hero crossed out. It's signed by Don Whittemore. It appears to be a copy of the original.

I played side 1 tracks 1 and 2 and all of side 2. The songs mostly seem to be those that were subsquently released. The song "Remember" has two lines reversed in two places. The released version is "Don't you worry, 'bout what you've done. Don't feel sorry, 'Bout the way it's gone". This version is "Don't feel sorry, 'bout the way it's gone. Don't you worry, 'bout what you've done." The only other difference is that side 2 track 6 is listed as "My Mommy's Dead" instead of "My Mummy's Dead".

Etched in the runoff is SW-1- 3372 and SW-1- 3372. Also Z-10, Bell Sound and sf.

Grading - PLAYTESTED

M = Perfect (seldom found unsealed)

M- = Played but still looks perfect

VG++ = Very faint scratches or scuffs that don't  affect play

VG+ = played with care, tiny scratches, light surface noise seldom heard over song

VG = well played, surface noise heard during song, light scratches but no skips

VG- = very well played, scratches and scuffs, surface noise throughout, but no skips

G = lots of scratches and noise

P - filler till a better one comes along

Note: Tone can very greatly from player to player and setting to setting. I try to grade very conservatively.
