Tracks :

1.      Nobody told me – Double-tracked demo

2.      Real love – piano demo

3.      I’m losing you – early studio version, with Rick Nielson and Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick, summer of 1980.

4.      Beautiful boy – Session with discussion about putting him on skates, explaining the chord sequence, listening to the Bermuda tape of the song, getting antsy (“We can do this in one take… there’s three chords man, let’s go!”) and a run through.

5.      Nobody told me – take one, from the vocal booth (“Whoever’s here, let’s play it!”)

6.      Cleanup time – take 7, rough mix, backing track

7.      Starting over – rough mix minus the echo and overdubs.

8.      Lennon’s lost diary -  13 minute 11/5/79 entry in his oral self-history, touching on Dylan’s “Serve somebody” (“He wants to be a waiter now… the backing was mediocre… the words were embarassing”), his indifference to new LPs by Paul, Dylan and Jagger (“they’re all company men”); his memories of Edinborough and the festival and how he wants to take Sean there in 1981 (“because that’s a good year to go”) and an odd interlude with Julia. No, odder than that...
