Description

Up for sale in this auction is a rare Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon album entitled, "Daytripper Jam". Vinyl is in VG++ shape with fresh and very clean looking vinyl (no skips or endless loops present). Clean center labels. Jacket is a generic white jacket with a printed piece of paper serving as the record's "cover". I have rated the jacket and cover at VG+ conservatively with only some light wear around the edges and some minor and light creasing on the sheet of paper.

Released ca. early 1975

Side 1: Give Peace A Chance (“listed as “Holland” and described in HW as “Exm” (the song was not written until later, so the Montreal “bed in” is the likely source)/ Interview – What’s The New Mary Jane? ‘Exm’ (an upgrade?)/  Day Tripper (Jimi Hendrix on BBC’s, Top Gear, 15 Dec 1967 “poor mono” John Lennon not present, officially released on JH BBC Sessions)/ God Save Us (pirate of Apple 45 # 1835, ‘Exm’)
Side 2: The Luck Of The Irish/ Attica State ‘Gm’ (both songs could be from the David Frost TV Show, rec. 16 January 1972 or again from the ‘john sinclair freedom rally in Ann Arbor, December 1971) / Imagine (Jerry Lewis Telethon, 6 September 1972, ‘Vgm’, 1st ever release)/ Give Peace A Chance  ‘Exm’ (unknown source)

Goldmine Grading System:

  • SS  Still Sealed
  • M  Mint - Perfect in all ways.
  • M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
  • NM- Near Mint Minus - Extremely well cared for record. Probably a record that's been around for some years but extremely well looked after, but still not quite new enough to call Mint.
  • VG++ Very Good Plus - As close to NM as it comes.
  • VG+  Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
  • VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
  • VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
  • G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
