JOHN LENNON
Title : Imagine Label : Apple Catalogue No : PAS 10004
Matrix : YEX 865-1U Porky // YEX-1U Pecko Issue : UK 1st Press
This is the UK 1st press of 'Imagine' by John Lennon. This press has the rarest and earliest 1U//1U matrix with Porky and Pecko engraved in the runout. It has the original printed inner sleeve, the original poster and original border postcard and the original laminated sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is exceptionally bright and clear, there are just a few of the very slightest hairlines, but they are insiginificant it is in super condition. The label is sensational. The image is sharp and completely unworn, the greys and white are crisp and bright and there is no spindle wear, just a couple of spider marks. We very carefully played this album and we are pleased to say it sounds as good as it looks. There is just the very faintest occasional background noise in the quietest moments but it still sounds wonderful - exceptional audio seperation, extremely clear and vibrant.
The record has the original printed inner sleeve in Excellent condition. It is extremely bright with very sharp text and bold black. There are a couple of spots of discolouration in places, but this is pretty insignificant, it is in super condition.
The original 1st press poster is in Excellent condition. This is the original postcard is in Excellent condition.
The fully laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bright and the image is bold. The laminate has a superb polished shine and the text is sharp. There are just a couple of light laminate creases and slight wear to the opening edge. The edges are very firm and the whole cover still feels solid. The spine is unworn with sharp text.
