Description

This is easily the most 'complete' Imagine I have ever listened to, it is stunning!  A genuine first pressing also and the clarity and depth of the audio and the warmth and definition is breathtaking.  It's incredible to think it nearly 54 years old and it would be no surprise if it had never been played before.  The vinyl is stunning and there is no spindle wear either - I cannot emphasise enough just how pristine the audio is.  There are obviously no clicks or pops, no underlying static, and the only background is one very quiet tick on 'Oh My Love' - the only background!  This is clearly a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing, you could not wish to find a more definitive example.
The cover is in lovely condition with only minimal wear and the large poster is as good as the day it was first printed basically.  The postcard is also 'as new' and the lyric inner is unmarked (how rare is that!) with only a little creasing on one top edge.  This is one STUNNING 'package'.

Visual description
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and still holds an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks, surface wear or scratches.  I've looked very hard under a bright and I can only make out a couple of ultra faint hairlines on S2 it truly is visually stunning to say the least!  The run outs grooves are pristine as are the Apple labels which have no marking or spindle wear.
Play Grading
The run in on S1 is so clean and then the gentle piano intro on 'Imagine' plays beautifully with no background either.  Lennon's opening vocal matches that with a clarity that is second to none and as White's drums comes in there is no drop in quality.  It continues to play with sensational audio - you might expect some background on a first pressing that is nearly 54 years old but no the clarity of sound is stunning.  From start to finish this is 'as new' I cannot describe it any other way.  What I also noticed is the depth and warmth of the audio, this is clearly a record that has hardly been played.  A STUNNING Mint version and that includes the fade out also.
The intro on 'Crippled Inside' is perfect and the opening vocal section is equal to that.  The mid instrumental has literally no background and the next verse / instrumental is just as strong and clear.  Again the depth and resonance of the audio is astonishing!  To the end it plays with such precision and Mint is fully deserved.
The intro on 'Jealous Guy' is exceptional, 'as new', and the opening vocal is on the same level.  The first chorus is of the same exact standard and from then on plays with incredible clarity and warmth.  Even the whistle sounds superb!  The remainder has not even a single dust tick let alone anything else and of course you know the grade!  Mint all the way.
'It's So Hard' keeps up the good work and plays with impeccable quality with not one iota of interference.  Mint
'I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier...' ends S1 in fine form with sublime audio from start to finish.  As always I have listened to every track in full and the sonic quality could not be any stronger.  There's a lot 'going on' with this track and yet the audio does not suffer for it.  Almost Spector-esque there is no inner groove distortion and it plays with great power and depth and... no intrusion.  Even the quiet end section is 'as new' with zero background!  It has to grade as Mint

'Give Me Some Truth' plays with real power and depth from the get go.  Through every vocal and instrumental section the playback is so strong and again no distortion.  George H doing his thing so well also!  For fear of repeating myself this is Mint from the first note to the last.
The most delicate of intros on 'Oh My Love' and it plays with unbelievable clarity.  George and John working in tandem beautifully, there is not one dust tick.  Easily a Mint intro.  The opening vocal has just one very quiet tick and a couple of barely audible statics but honestly the clarity is incredible.  An emotive track and even more emotive with such a clean warm sound.  There is no background static at all and it continues in the same precise way.  This is truly a remarkable version and I do not think I have heard one as definitive as this.  A stunning vocal and the very quiet ending has no intrusion either.  Wow!  Mint-
The 'intro' and opening vocal section on 'How Do You Love?' play perfectly as does the first chorus.  From then onwards it plays with impeccable precision, as per the rest of the album basically.  Great power and depth once more.  Running at over 5 minutes there is no interference and it grades as Mint
Another low key number with 'How?' and it plays without fault all the way through.  Every note so sharp and precise you miss nothing.  Not one dust tick, no static ticks, no loud ticks you get the idea!!  Mint
The final track 'Oh Yoko!' ends this classic album in the style we have become accustomed to now.  An upbeat number with a depth and clarity comparable to a record pressed yesterday!  It's rare for final tracks to play as clean as this and especially one of this age.  The 'as new' moniker can be used again as no ticks, clicks etc.  Superb harmonica work from John!  A wonderful Mint finish to a jaw-dropping amazing album!
The Cover, Lyric Inner, Poster & Postcard
The glossy cover is in excellent condition with only minimal shelf wear.  The edges are so clean and the thin pinched spine is perfect.  The corners are in superb shape and the opening edge is near perfect with only a couple of tiny rubs.  The front cover is unmarked and has only a small number of the usual edge creases next to the spine and a very small amount of laminate 'lift' next to the spine also.  The back cover is very clean with just minor rubbing and a handful of creases next to the bottom edge and there is also some light 'speckling' near the top edge.  All these things are very minor I hasten to add and it's not far off Near Mint- if I'm honest.  I will say Ex++ it is a fine example.
The lyric inner has to be the best example I have ever seen.  It is totally unmarked, has no side splits or tears and only a little creasing near the top edge on one side.
The large poster is in fabulous condition with no marking or spotting and no tears either.  I would not be surprised if it had never been opened before today!  I could only see one small crease near one edge but that is being really picky.  The postcard certainly is in perfect Mint condition.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
