John Lennon - ’Give Peace A Chance / Cold Turkey’. G 45 2
A very rare issue on offer here. John Lennon 1984 UK Apple / EMI pressing of the ’Give Peace A Chance / Cold Turkey’ 7” single. These sold very badly back in 1984 and are very hard to come by.
Note the distinct pressing ridge around the centre hole and unusual non standard Apple/EMI catalog number - G 45 2 and matrix numbers below. The vinyl is housed within the original golden cover.
This copy is also an even rarer FACTORY SAMPLE demo issue. These initial early sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: G45 2A-1-1-XX1 NICKZ PENTHOUSE
Side 2: G45 2B-1-1-1 1 NICKZ PENTHOUSE
The vinyl is in MINT- condition on the a-side and EXCELLENT+ condition on the b-side.
Both labels are in in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
