This is the original UK LP by JOHN LENNON'S PLASTIC ONO BAND, IMAGINE, 8th October 1971 on the customised APPLE label PAS 10004

 Complete with the original 1st issue inner sleeve, large poster and postcard

 All are genuine 1st issue, including the Garrod and Lofthouse glossy thickly laminated domed edged cover with pinched corners

Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- YEX 865-1U,  Side 2:- YEX 866-1U

Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 5 / GAD,   Side 2:-  2 / GUD

Both Matrix numbers and Stamper codes indentify this as a VERY 1ST PRESSING

THIS IS A GENUINE VERY RARE EARLY VERY 1ST PRESSING, NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND

The original 1971 UK Very 1st issue fully laminated Garrod and Lofthouse cover is in EX condition. The cover maintains all it's original bright vibrant colours!, lovely thick glossy lamination on the front and back. The solid slim spine with pinched corners is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.

The 1st issue cover is very distinctive in its appearance, firstly the colour is bright with deep hues, subsequent later covers are quite dull and lifeless in comparison. Also only 1st issue covers were laminated with super thick glossy laminate. The spine on this and any other 1st issue covers is wider than later issues and has 'Pinched' corners, and finally the cover is 'Domed' where by gradually the cover dips in from the centre down to the top and bottom edges, giving a more luxuriant and fully bodied appearance.


The vinyl is in a STRONG EX condition gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!. The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity *, amazing Stereo sound!!!! *, stunning clear bright fresh sound. The quality of this 1971 UK Stereo 1st Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!!

This is one of 'THE' BEST sounding IMAGINE 1st Pressings ive ever heard!, their are some very quiet softly produced tracks on the album, prone to pick up any crackle, NOT ON THIS VINYL!. JOHN LENNON VOCALS SOUND CRSYTAL CLEAR, THAT HE MIGHT AS WELL BE IN THE ROOM WITH YOU!!, WOW!!!!. THE VINYL EVEN PLAYS SILENTLY INBETWEEN TRACKS, JUST STUNNING!!!


The customised APPLE label's are in EX+++-condition!!!, lovely and clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright vibrant colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear, beautiful labels!

The vinyl is housed in its original 1971 UK white 'IMAGINE' inner sleeve and in EX condition!, lovely and clean, their is no unwanted writing, and only 1 small seam split on the bottom seam in the centre, their are no other seam splits.

The original 1971 UK 1st issue large poster is in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean, front and back, no seam splits, no rips or tears

The original 1971 UK 1st issue postcard (often missing) is in EX+++ / MINT- condition, lovely and clean, front and back
