JOHN LEE HOOKER 1962 ALBUM ON US GALAXY - "JOHN LEE HOOKER" - STEREO The 3rd edition (2002) of Goldmine American Records Guide valued this at $250 (Near Mint) COVER:  The cover would originally have had a square "GALAXY STEREO" label applied over the "GALAXY 201 HIGH FIDELTY" print at the top right corner of the front cover. It is possible to see where this label was - see extra large image. Over-labelled mono covers were used for the early stereo release. There is slight wear on corners and the top edge has wear and a split - see extra image. Graded as VG this cover example is quite good for American covers of the period. RECORD:  Unmarked, bright vinyl, clean label. On playthrough the sound has excellent clarity and depth of tone. All tracks have been checked and played in full and at sufficiently loud volume using a Citronic Pro PD-1s MK2 direct drive turntable, QSC GX3 power amplifier and Sonus Faber speakers.
