First of all let me say, I am not normally a seller of record albums. I consider myself an Audiophile, and Vinyl lover who is beginning to downsizing my personal record collection. I am not a pro at grading albums. I buy records that are near perfect as far as the vinyl as I have an expensive stylus, and only purchase albums where the covers are at least acceptable unless the record is very desirable. Thus, I am grading this album as Excellent and near mint per my standards. I have owned it for years and have digitally copied it for my own use and will now let this album and many more go. Please let the many pictures be the main description as far as condition.  I have hundreds and hundreds of albums that I will eventually sell.

This is The John Coltrane Quartet A-21 Mono, first pressing Album. Red Label with VanGelder stamped on the vinyl. Playback is excellent and very quite. It has very light surface marks but no scratches that deter playback and no pops that I noticed.
This record was produced by Bob Thiele, and Engineered by Rudy VanGelder.  Rudy VanGelder is stamped on the both sides of the vinyl.
The musicians on this are John Coltrane, Elvin Jones (drums), Jimmy Garrison (Bass) , and McCoy Tyner on Piano. It is a Jazz great with wonderful execution and recording.

It will be well packaged out of the cover and inside liner with and  an outer vinyl sleeve.

 The original liner is a picture liner with the ABC PARAMOUNT labeling. It has I believe 2 tears on one side. One is about 2" at the entry and another 3" slit down from that. It is in good condition aside from that as you can see in the pics.

I believe this is about as good a copy of this Great Jazz Disc you are going to find. The recording and production is great as is John Coltrane's talented presentation. 

There will be No Returns on this item. I have been selling on Ebay for years and as you can see, I have not had ANY dissatisfied customers. My description is honest and the pictures are close up and many. Don't be concerned, You will love this album. It is a great copy of an Iconic Jazz LP. I will ship this USPS Priority Mail to avoid a lot of handling.

I am very confident you will be very satisfied with this record album. I would rather not sell my albums but we are retired now and am looking to buy a smaller home with far less upkeep and much less of my collection to maintain.
