In 1962 John Coltrane was under assault from conservative critics who had labeled his extended performances as “sheets of sound”. ….To prove he has a gentler side he recorded this classic collection of both well known and obscure ballads. Coltrane was one of jazz's greatest ballad players of course. Probably the best on eBay.

Both record and sleeve are from a well cared for jazz collection and are in excellent condition.
