INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND IN THE ORIGINAL 1966 UK *STEREO* FORMAT AND IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION THROUGHOUT
* FROM A SMALL COLLECTION OF JAZZ LPs I RECENTLY ACQUIRED (and will be listing over the coming days) - FROM A SINGLE OWNER WHO TAPED THEM ONTO REEL-TO-REEL - SO ONLY PLAYED ONCE OR TWICE - AND THEN CAREFULLY STORED IN PLASTIC SLEEVES (so all the covers are practically like-new) - I GUARANTEE YOU WON'T FIND BETTER COPIES
PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST ISSUE HMV LABELS WHICH CARRY ALL THE CORRECT FIRST ISSUE INFO - "SOLD IN UK…" STATEMENT AND "KT" TAX CODE EMBOSSED ON SIDE ONE
MARTIX: AS 9110 A-1 / AS 9110 B-1 (the original US Impulse matrix stamped, plus UK A-1/B-1)
MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/R and 1/R (one of the earliest copies - in the batch of the first 600 pressed or earlier if the G stamper was not used)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED FLIPBACK SLEEVE "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending" DATE CODED '6611' (1966, November)
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL EMI COMPANY, POLY- LINED ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE (which illustrates classical artists but I have no reason to believe this is not the one originally issued as everything else in this collection is original)

McCoy Tyner – piano
On five diverse but almost consistently intense movements ("The Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost," "Compassion," "Love," "Consequences," and "Serenity"), the two tenor saxophonists, pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Jimmy Garrison, and both Elvin Jones and Rashied Ali on drums create some powerful, dense, and emotional music.
Unlike some of the live jams of 1966, the passionate performances never ramble on too long and the screams and screeches fit logically into the spiritual themes.
This would be the last recording of Coltrane with Tyner and Jones.

Clean, bright and unmarked labels with only a couple of spindle traces per side.
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen and appear unmarked in normal light with just wispy hairlines under bright light
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Sensational copy which plays beautifully throughout with no audio issues of note.
Played just once or twice on top quality equipment the sound performance is flawless - crystal clear, clean, fresh and incredibly immediate
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
The flipback cover is also in superb condition with a deep glossy sheen to the laminated front and a remarkably clean back.
The edges and spine are practically unworn and all spine text is clear and bold
INNER SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
The original EMI inner sleeve is clean and fresh with no seam splits
