Very nice copy of John Coltrane's "Coltrane" LP on Impulse stereo A-21/AS-21. This is the 1963 Paramount stereo pressing, with Rudy Van Gelder's stamp in the runoff. Promo copy for the Penn State Jazz Club, whose stamp is in the gatefold. I don't know why anyone prefers the mono to the stereo for this album; the stereo version sounds absolutely incredible, and this copy really delivers top sound. The disc does have visible sleeve scuffs and hairlines but they are all superficial and do not affect the play at all. This thing plays nearly perfectly and just beautifully. The cover is a little worn, with a seam split across the top, and one in the center of the bottom edge, where the record can poke through. The corners are also a bit worn and there is some fraying on the spine. I have tried to show all the issues in the photos. It isn't perfect but it is actually still quite nice. Still shiny with striking artwork and very presentable. In any case it plays just gloriously.
