Description
“A Love Supreme" LP by John Coltrane on Impulse! A-77, original stereo U.S. pressing from 1965. The most famous album produced by Coltrane's classic '60s quartet lineup.
Personnel: John Coltrane, tenor sax; McCoy Tyner, piano; Jimmy Garrison, bass; Elvin Jones, drums.
Cover is VG+ to excellent with only some light wear and scuff lines. Very straight and solid with no bends, splits, tears, stickers or writing. Lamination has a tiny bit of peeling on back side. The rare track listing sticker on front has some discoloration from the adhesive as shown. Overall a beautiful-looking cover!
Disc is about VG+ with some light scuffs and small scratches, but still with full gloss and no detectable wear. Plays great--even in the quietest passages--with only minor noise and a few occaisional light ticks. "Van Gelder" is stamped in the dead wax on both sides, so you know the sound of this record is just beautiful. It would probably play even better after a good machine cleaning, but I prefer to leave that to the discretion of the winning bidder.
Labels are EX with no writing, stickers, stains or fingerprints. The only trace of wear is just a tiny bit at the spindle holes, and there are only one or two extremely faint spindle trails.
The original Impulse! inner sleeve is in great shape too, with no tears or splits--a nice bonus to help complete the package!
