Description

This one is the stereo 1st pressing of John Coltrane's COSMIC MUSIC. With Alice Coltrane. On his own private label or Coltrane Records AU-4950. Very Rare. This one is an original pressing, not a reissue. Comes with gatefold cover, designed with spiritual concept, made of hard cardboard.
John Coltrane (tenor saxophone and bass clarinet), Alice Coltrane (piano), Pharoah Sanders (tenor saxophone, piccolo), Jimmy Garrison (bass), Rashied Ali (drums).
The vinyl played NM on Side 1 and NM- on Side 2, due to some light background noises at the very beginning of song no.1 and really small tics at the beginning of the last song, both no big deal.
Under bright light, bright and shinny with scuffs and small hairlines. No scratch.
The cover is rated VG due to its split along the upper right seam of gatefold's right wing (see picture).
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.
