LP : Joe Henderson – Canyon Lady
Original US-pressing from 1975 on MILESTONE, M-9057. Recorded in October 1973. Killer album by Henderson featuring dope afrocuban- & latin-funkjazz plus some more free and “spiritual” moments, George Duke plays the Fender Rhodes in a way similar to his best moments on “The Inner Source” ( I offer an original German MPS first press in my current auctions of this LP ), heavy afro-cuban percussion, awesome solo-work by Gasca & Henderson and the other guys. Tres Palabras is really beautiful, it can easily match with the great1962 bossa version wich Kenny Burrell did on his “Bluesy Burrell” album together with Coleman Hawkins. Condition: the record looks & plays in mint-. The cover shows moderate shelfwear, all seams/spine are intact with just some rub in a few parts ( only at the right of the bottom there's ca. 2 inches with a longer rub), front & back are fine with just a little ringwear on the front, there's little cornerwear; overall vg++.

Zustand: die LP ist optisch & akkustisch in mint-. Das Cover hat mittelgradige Lagerspuren, alle Kanten sind intakt mit etwas Abrieb an einigen Stellen ( mehr nur an der rechten unteren Kante ), Vorder- & Rückseite sind okay mit vorne ein bißchen Ringwear, die Ecken haben leichten Abrieb; insgesamt in vg++. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

• cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
